The word Chakra in Sanskrit means "vortex" or "wheel". They are energy centers within the body that help regulate all its processes, from organ function to the immune system and emotions. Without these energy portals and Universal Life energy passing through them, we would cease to exist. Chakra balancing and understanding their functions is a major key in identifying our conscious and subconscious well-being. There are 7 major chakras in the body that have their own color, frequency, sound, and location that play an important role in our spiritual, mental, and physical health. Each chakra connects to a particular gland of the endocrine system that governs our hormones released into the blood stream. The endocrine system is part of the body's main control mechanism. A variety of health problems can occur caused by chakra imbalances which is why the importance of learning them, their functions, and how to create a healthy balanced system is important. Everything begins with energy.

The chakras begin at the base of the spine and proceed upward in a line to the crown of the head. To visualize a chakra, imagine a swirling wheel of energy, or a lotus flower spinning and opening as it spins. This invisible energy is called Prana, or life force. Crystals, music frequencies, meditation, and Reiki (Universal Life Force) are some methods that can be used used to help balance and open the chakras. Here you will learn about the 7 main chakras, the hand and foot chakras, how to tell if they are open or closed, and how to identify issues to understand how to heal them. Identifying and accepting the issue is the FIRST step to healing.
